From
smoke and dirt to pollution and oil, it is amazing how much
gunk can collect on a window over time. I sit here in my
office looking out the window that appears to look the same
as it did when it was new, but wondering why it was always a
gray overcast outside. I was just used to the slow
collection of crud so I never really noticed how opaque the
window was becoming. It took a lot of cleaner, four rags,
and a lot of elbow grease to make the window acceptably
transparent again, but it'll never be the same as it was
when it was new.
Just as
with the window, from birth, we all collect some level of
gunk on our souls. This gunk consists of misinformation,
prejudices, conflict, trauma, and myriad other experiences
that layer over our creative insides. These layers slowly
change the way we see our world by creating an opaque film
over our soul's eye. With that we begin to see the world in
a way that we assume that it is and not necessarily in a way
that it truly exists. Our reality becomes tainted
preventing us from perusing and becoming everything that we
could possibly become. However, somehow we need to clean off
that gunk to obtain a clear view of life.
Writing
to Clear my Vision
After 15 years of sharpening pencils and banging on the
keyboard, I am still amazed at the things that happen as I
continue to write. In the early days, I simply did it
because it helped to pay the bills and it was fun to see my
books at the bookstore. But, as time passed, I began to
realize that the more I write, the more I learn about
myself, and the more layers that peel off of my soul.
I must
say, that the most fulfilling experience I ever had as a
writer was the day that I saw my soul. To settle your
doubts, it wasn't so much a physical manifestation of a
soul, but it was the automatic typing of my fingers to
create content so rich that I had to pinch myself to see if
it was still me. This bizarre, yet fulfilling, sensation
pushed me into an entirely different frame of mind and a
sense of satisfaction and self-belief like I had never
known.
Writing
to Scratch the Surface
Writing can take on many different shapes and sizes. Some
write for research. Some write for pleasure. Others write
for money. But, at the core of writing is the expression of
one's inner being. It is an outlet for the soul. A way for
it to give so that it can dig its way out of the layers of
contradiction and goo that have piled on over the years.
Many
books have been written about the act of keeping journals or
writing pages in the mornings to describe the first things
that are in your mind to clear the way for the remainder of
the day. The idea behind such practice writings is to begin
to dig through years of muck and mire to touch the ultimate
writer within us. However, it is much more than that. It
is the release of our creative self that we all have inside
and provides us with guidance and direction through our
lives.
Writing
to Touch the Soul
The soul
is that energy that keeps is alive and connected to the
Universe. It is the most basic part of our existence, but
contains the knowledge and emotion of the Universe. When
you touch your soul, your fingers take on a life of their
own and you "feel" the things that you must write. Whether
you feel it as inspiration or some divine message, it
doesn't matter. It all boils down to the fact that you are
connected to your inner self and have punctured a hole
through which the inspiration can flow.
Once
you touch your soul, your life will change. It's like a
chain-reaction that changes your outlook and your
direction. You feel what you are truly made of and find
that you are capable of everything. All of the challenges
you've encountered throughout your life suddenly transform
into lessons.
The
easiest way to begin the journey of self-discovery is to
begin writing. Don't write about the fly on the wall or the
sunset. Write what you feel. What is the first feeling
that comes to you.
While
your first few attempts will appear, perhaps, embarrassing,
they are simply a representation as to the way the soul's
message is translated through the years of experience piled
on top of it. The objective is to dig through the layers to
reach your core. Just keep writing. Every time you write,
you'll find that the feeling you're documenting becomes
clearer and more intelligible.
What's
next?
Whether your objective in life is to be a writer or not,
the idea behind writing is simply to touch your soul. It's
no wonder so many people live their lives in spiritual
destitution. The creativity that ought to fuel every thing
in life is stifled. Don't starve your spirit. Learn what
creative gift the Universe has given you. Love it and care
for it. It's as important as the food you eat and the air
you breathe as it is what supports your life.

Life is a journey, a
process, NOT an event. It is an art, a creative
endeavor. There is no wrong way to do it. There is no
right way to do it. We do it the way it works for us.
The important thing is to learn to discern what it is
that works for YOU, because each one of us is
different. Every human
being has a unique DNA coding. There is not another
person on the planet that has the same fingerprints as
you do, or the same footprints or lip prints that you
do. You are totally unique. Therefore your experience
of life is unique. You're the one that gets to decide
what kind of life will fulfill you. Are you up for the
challenge? Of course you are!
Taking conscious control of your
life's direction isn't easy. There is so much outside
influence. We are continuously bombarded with images,
thoughts and programming telling us what to wear, how
to think, who we should be. Self-help books,
motivational speakers, schools, media hype, religious
organizations, all attempt to shape our thinking and
tell us who and how to be. But remember, none of those
is an inner yearning, but, in reality, an outer
imposition.
It's important to stop and
consider, from your own heart, what fulfills you. It's
OK to "think BIG," but remember BIG is relative. Many
people think they have to have BIG goals in order to
live a significant life. Yet what is BIG?
One person may find tremendous
value from growing a garden, and another person could
look at that and think, "That is so boring, what I
want is to learn how to fly planes and be an acrobatic
pilot." Someone else may want to teach children and
another may want to create a lot of money. Who is to
say one person is more fulfilled than the other. What
is true is that each is doing what feeds them. That is
what is essential.
I often counsel clients about
the value of coming present with where they are in
their lives, and in learning to honor the essence of
who they are. Living our life in a way that brings
enjoyment and fulfillment is the 'right' way for us.
It doesn't really matter what we do. It matters how we
do it.
When we create our own
fulfillment, we can give in to the world (give in to
the world - not take from the world) the essence of
our enjoyment and our satisfaction. When this happens,
the world becomes a richer, more complex, more
beautiful place to live.
QUOTES:
"Your work is to discover your
work and then give yourself to it."
~ Buddha ~
Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love
~ Rumi ~
"When we are motivated by goals
that have deep meaning, by dreams
that need completion, by pure love that
needs expressing, then we truly live
life.
~Greg Anderson ~
PRACTICALLY SPEAKING:
When working on uncovering what
it is you really want to create in your life, it is
sometimes helpful to look at your immediate
circumstances, what you are involved in on a day to
day basis.
Observe your life. Notice where
you spend your time and energy and ask yourself "is
this how I'd really like my life to be in this area?"
Become aware of how you feel
about each endeavor. You may even choose to assign
yourself a score where "0" is "no fulfillment or
satisfaction" (a.k.a. lousy) and 10 is "completely
fulfilled."
(Note: 10 does not mean it
cannot be improved or that it will not require
continuing attention to maintain this level of
satisfaction, it means that, for the moment, you are
feeling complete.)
If any area is less than a 10,
ask yourself, "Hmmmmm, what would a 10 be for me?" and
then write it down.
Let's say, in the area of
recreation, you are at a 7. Now ask yourself, what
would it take to get me to an 8. (The key here is
taking one step at a time on our way to a 10 . If you
know another way to do it, let me know.)
Now you have a game plan. Next
stop--an 8. Incorporate those actions into your life
in easy and graceful ways, until you find yourself at
an 8, at which time you can figure out what it will
take to get to 9!
WONDER QUESTIONS:
What level of satisfaction am I
experiencing in the different areas of my life?
What actions could I take in
order to improve the experience I am having?
Am I willing to be the
predominant creative force in my life?

Color Cures
A Feng Shui
Series
|
By: Kalyn
|
|
When
we sense that a room lacks good Feng Shui, we know that we
need to change something.
One of the easiest ways to change the energy of
a room is by changing its colors. A color change can be
simple to do because we know what colors we like and we can
sense how a significant color change will affect our space.
Re-painting just one wall in a room, for example, is a
significant change that will create an energetic shift. When
we aim to shift energy through color, we need to determine
what we need to change and then we need to consider the
different ways colors work. In this three-part series, we
look at how colors can change the vibration, mood and the
element of a space, starting with the yin and yang
vibration.
Energy can be yin or yang depending on its flow.
Ying energy is a restful and calm energy that vibrates
quietly. Yin energy is preferred in bedrooms and dens. It is
required for a good night's sleep and in rooms that tend to
be private. Yin energy is sometimes mistaken as being energy
to avoid. It is thought of as death energy (since yin energy
is sought after in grave yards) or dark. However, yin energy
is inner-world energy. It is conducive to spending time in
our inner world with our hopes, dreams and desires- it is
also the energy we seek for meditation.
Yang energy
is a more active energy. Feng Shui prefers to see yang
energy in a living room, dining room, kitchen or a home
office. Yang energy is needed to keep active energy in our
finances and to keep good relationships with friends and
family in our entertainment or “public” rooms. When we add
yang energy into an office, for example, we attract more
activity in the forms of finances, relations and reputation.
When a space's energy doesn't match the energy
of the activities it is used for, inauspicious energy
conflicts occur. For example, a living room or business
office that are too yin will have a challenging time
appealing to visitors and visitors that are present won't
stay long. Similarly, a bedroom or a back door that are too
yang, or too active, will create a sense of caution which
will keep occupants from fully resting and relaxing.
Choosing the right colors can help create the
appropriate yin or yang energy needed. Active colors like
red, orange and other bright shades hold yang energy and by
painting a wall or adding yang- colored furniture, we can
liven up a yin office. A yang space can be soothed and
quieted with calm colors, such as mellow shades like violet,
rose, and blue.
Of course, deciding whether a room should be
yin or yang isn’t black and white. Some spaces, such as
offices, benefit from being very active – on the other hand,
that much motion and movement might be too much in our
living room!
Decide how active or calm you need your spaces
to be. Be sure to match the activity of your space with the
energy you are creating so that your activities and the
room’s energy match. Then make these changes through color!

Feng Shui Abundance Tip:
In Feng Shui we work with
energy, shifting and changing it to enhance its effect
on us and our lives. This is primarily done using universal
laws of energy.
However, you don't have to be an expert to work with energy
and to attract abundance into your life!
Try
this simple tip: if you
wish to attract more money, do this by acting as though
you have money! Always keep money on you (even if it is
small amounts) - Don't run out of cash!
Do you wish to enjoy a life
of abundance? Sure, it sounds great, and you think that it
is too good to be true! It is not too good- it takes work on
your part!
If you are willing to open to life, to
change some behaviors and to learn how to how to attract
abundance into your life, then try the Manifesting
Abundance Series! The series was created for students who
wanted to experience more abundance in their lives, and they
are! The Manifesting Abundance Series includes two CD
processes to help you bring the energy of abundance in, and
an Abundance Workbook, an 8 week workbook with daily
exercises and behaviors to help you know what abundance
really is.
You won't know abundance
until you breath it, feel it and think it-
and the quickest way to learn these is through the Abundance
Series!

How to build up your own
Creative Power |
by Fernando
Soave |
|
|
Here are some ways
that have been found helpful to build the creative power of
creative thinkers throughout the centuries.
1. Associate with children in some of your spare time.
Children will give you a new way of looking at things
because they take nothing for granted. Every problem they
give you from "Why the sky is blue" to "why can't pens have
erasers, just like pencils ?" will give you practice in
exercising your imagination. If you have children of your
own, play with them. Listen to their conversation.
2. Watch for deficiencies in everything that need
remedying. The ability to see what needs to be done is the first
step in finding solutions for a particular problem.
3. Expose yourself to new sights and sounds. Travel to
strange places in your town. Try new restaurants. Travel to
a new place on your vacation. We don't see too clearly
what's closely by. No matter how many acres of diamonds
there are around you in the shape of fruitful ideas, you
I'll probably have fresher thoughts if you go to a new place
in town, or on a vacation to a strange town.
4. Always define and narrow your problem as much as you
can. If you break down a problem into many small specific
component parts, it is easier to solve each small problem to
arrive at the solution to the one big problem.
5. Gather facts about your problem. Gathering facts
sometimes uncovers the solution. We want the mind to go off
on strange, new paths. But it won't if we smother it with
too many facts about conventional ways of doing things.

Abundance In All Things!
Abundance is an essence that exists in infinite supply
in the universe. Abundance can take on various forms
such as an abundance of love, money, happiness, joy,
success, and so on. Generally, we know what abundance
is, but bringing abundance into our daily life alludes
many of us. |
|
|
Manifesting Abundance
uses the two spiritual laws, "as above so below," and "as
within so without." Many have heard of these laws but are not certain
how to put these laws into effect. To put the law into motion you must
first be able to access spiritual essences that exist in unlimited supply
on the levels beyond physicality. Then you must align the structured self
to this essence, bringing the essence fully into your inner world. When
your inner world is completely aligned to the essence, in this case
abundance, it must manifest in your outer world. It is the law..
To find
out more about how to create abundance in your life, please go to:

Testimonial: "I really enjoyed it. What I
noticed about myself is that I would grasp at making
an altar for my bills, and come to appreciate them and
look at them as symbolic, but also I repel actually
taking the time to work with self and energy first. "

Shamanic Egg Cleansing |
by: Kalyn
Raphael |

Every
minute of your life is an experience. The process of moving
through life is one event and occurrence after another, and
this is true for us all. Of course, the key is whether we
enjoy our experiences or whether our experiences are
painful, challenging or disappointing. We think that
experiences are positive or negative by definition, but the
truth is that we define and interpret our experiences based
on our emotional wounding, which we all hold. Like an
insecurity that causes us to be defensive or like a broken
heart that hurts every time we see a couple kissing,
wounding is debilitating to our experiences and our lives.
We can try to put our broken heart aside, or try to be less
impatient, but only healing the wounds that affect our lives
will create the change needed to restore a balanced, healthy
and enjoyable life experience.
Shamans and native cultures have known and lived
by this for thousands of years. With great wisdom, shamans
have lead their people's healing through traditional ways,
like the egg cleanse, to restore a natural state of life in
which our life experiences are defined as positive more
often than not.
Healing can take many forms, but few healing
methods are as powerful as the ancient egg cleanse of
Mesoamerican shamans. The egg cleanse is an energetic
healing that works on the aura, on our emotional wounding
and other structured aspects of our human form. In the egg
cleanse, the shaman runs an egg over the entire body of
their client. The egg has a natural healing ability that
allows it to absorb old stagnant energies in the patient as
the egg is run over the body. The cleanse lifts the patient,
brining life issues and problems to the surface of their
energy. At the surface, the shaman is able to absorb these
energies with the egg or dissipate them with smoke. The
smoke used in an egg cleansing is a resin that is burned on
charcoal and blown on to the client. Copal smoke vibrates
highly, and has a unique ability to dissipate any unwanted
energies upon contact.
Egg cleansings are a common healing method in
indigenous areas, such as the Maya Caribbean. The cleanse
helps us to raise our vibration by ridding ourselves of
unwanted energies and by allowing any life problems or
issues to come into our awareness for us to work with and
heal. When we work on our own healing, we improve our lives
in numerous ways, such as improving our life experiences.
Through our healing, our life challenges and problems become
smaller and easier to handle. Once a broken heart has
mended, it is wiser and able to love more; once an
insecurity has healed, defensive feelings are naturally
replaced with confidence.
In the place of wounds, healing provides
strength, which means we experience more joy and happiness
in our lives. But healing on our own can be difficult and
challenging. Instead, when we open to outside help, such as
the great help offered by a cleansings session, we invite
our healing to occur in a more enjoyable and more effective
way. Having your energy raised as you simultaneously work on
your healing your life issues will bring about great results
and greater life experiences.

Waterfall |
by: Susan Hadinger |
|
I reach
through the watery veil
Grasping for connection
Yearning for love
How to
trust
As things change
Like water
Undulations
People appear big
Then grow small
How to hold
On to the bigness
In yourself and others
Reach
through
At just the right time
And hold tight
Or maybe
Just maybe
It’s not timing at all
Then
As I stop trying
To reach through
Stop trying to hold on
Sit still
for a moment
I notice something
That which
I have
Been trying so hard
To reach beyond
Suddenly comes into focus |
The
waterfall
Life, love, beauty
Is all there
Has always
been there
Right before my eyes
And as the
light
Bounces off the moving water
Sparkling like diamonds
The
enormity
Of this realization
Sinks into me
As I step
into
The flow
I feel each drop
Rushing
over me
Through me
Infusing me with
An infinite
capacity
To love and trust
Trust in everything
Trust in
me.
