We all
like being in the flow: it means we're having an easy time,
things are falling in our lap and we're feeling like life is
good. Being out of the flow means we're tired of trying to
push the river. Nothing is working out and we mean to make
things happen but no matter what we do and how hard we try,
nothing seems to work out.
So, it's safe to guess that we all want to be in the flow,
right? Well then, how do we get in the flow? What is "the
flow"? It is easy to recognize when we are in the flow, but
it is difficult to pin point so that we can get back to it.
The flow has everything to do with where we are at. It is
easy for us to grasp at where we want to be and what we want
things to be like. Changing things has its proper methods,
methods that work with the flow, and are a separate subject.
The point to be aware of is that there is a difference
between being where we are and grasping at trying to be
somewhere else or repelling our current state.
Being in the flow means being where we are at, whether we
perceive it as a positive or negative place to be: we can be
at work and hating it; poor and feeling lack; sad and
brokenhearted or feeling prosperous and loved.
No matter where you are at life is life. Every moment of
life, every experience has something to offer us. We, of
course, welcome that which we feel is positive but for our
Authentic Selves an experience is an experience. They all
serve us as our life experience enabling our growth and
evolution. It is like eating a well balanced meal: dessert
may be welcomed, but fruits, vegetables, grains and
meats/dairy contribute to health. The balanced diet is
required to ensure our well-being, to avoid illness.
We don't have to pretend to like the parts of life that we
don't like or even hate. This would be denial and unhealthy
to us. We just need to be able to acknowledge where we are
at and how we feel. For example, admitting that you are poor
and hate it and then finding something else that you can
enjoy in your present circumstance will do more to change
your circumstances than anything else you can do. This
acknowledgment of our feelings without trying to change or
wish them away puts us back in the flow of life. |

Loving
Limitedness, Realizing Unlimitedness
What is unconditional love and how do we practice it?
Introduce
yourself to unconditional love in Loving Limitedness,
Realizing Unlimitedness with the Counsel of Light.
Discover the three stages of love and how it is that we
work in love to transform our lives and to learn
unconditional love. In a world of limitations we can not
practice or experience unconditional love without knowing
self-love. This limited world is hard on many people and
many of us wish for a lack of limitations so that we can
reach the stars. However, it is only by taking advantage
of our limitations to work in love and its three stages
that we will be with the stars.

Lightwurks, LLC is now offering live recording of actual classes
given by the Counsel of Light. The COL are beings of light
that refer to themselves as the gardeners of humanity, working
to aid in our growth and evolution.
The Counsel of Light are channeled by very few
humans capable of reaching their extremely high energy. Cherryl
Taylor is one such person who's life work has been to channel
the COL in classes, workshops and private session (very powerful,
but unfortunately no longer available, as Mrs. Taylor has
retired).

The
Three Keys to Your Spiritual Journey - Part II
In our
last article we spoke about the importance of putting
into practice what we learn. I will soon be speaking
about the first powerful key you can use on your spiritual
journey, but first a short story. There were two men.
They each had bought a piece of land and needed to
find water. The first man set out and dug a two foot
hole. He found no water in that spot and so he moved
to another spot and dug another hole. Again, he found
no water. So he moved to yet another spot and dug
down a little ways only to be disappointed that he
didn't find any water. After some time he had dug
over a hundred holes, but never found any water.
In despair
he walked over to the other man's land and noticed
that he had been digging in the same hole the entire
time. As he walked closer to the deep hole he thought
to himself, "How stupid this man is. He is still
working on the same hole, while I have dug over a
hundred holes." As he approached the hole and
looked down into it, much to his surprise there was
water at the bottom.
So often
when walking a spiritual path we learn a technique
and we give it a try. But we don't get the results
we want so we look for another technique. We hear
or read about another technique or process. We give
it a try. We try it for a little while but again we
don't get immediate results so we are off to find
something else. In the long run we end up wasting
a lot of time without the results we want.
Spiritual
work takes a lifetime (actually it lasts longer than
a lifetime). It takes consistency and constancy. If
we are to find "the water" we must apply
a technique or process consistently over a period
of time. There was a time in my life when I wanted
to have out of body experiences. I read this book
and that book and tried various techniques. For over
a year I tried different things but wasn't able to
get out of my body. I finally settled down and decided
to do one technique consistently every night as I
was falling asleep. I kept at it every night for over
6 months. I was a college student at the time and
I would take the opportunity whenever I could to do
the technique before taking a nap between classes.
One afternoon
I lay down for a nap and started my technique. I started
to doze off when I felt what seemed to be my body
shaking like an earthquake. There was a loud buzzing
in my ears. I opened my eyes and all I could see was
something yellow and fuzzy. It took a while to come
into focus and when it did I realized I was floating
less than a foot below the yellow ceiling in my dorm
room. I looked down and saw my body still napping
on my bed. I then knew the importance of consistency
over time, and sticking with something.
There is
another similar trap that is common for those on a
spiritual path. It is taking in knowledge without
applying it. There was a time when I truly believed
that if I could only read enough books and take in
enough knowledge I would become enlightened. Now I
know better. In many ways just the opposite is true.
There is actually a big risk in taking in lots of
knowledge without applying it. The risk is that you
come to believe you know things you simply do not.
You may understand many things but unless you apply
the knowledge you cannot know it.
It is like
learning to drive a car. The only way to learn to
drive a car is to get in a car and drive it. You could
read a hundred books on how to drive a car, and you
may come to believe you know how to drive. But until
you actually sit behind the wheel and experience the
timing involved between shifting gears, the clutch,
accelerating and braking, you will never really know
how to drive a car. Spiritual work is no different.
You must do and live it in order to know it. Growth
and transformation can only occur through living your
spiritual techniques and principles. Going to a seminar
and reading a book may inspire you, but no transformation
can occur without applying what you have learned.
As with
driving a car, spiritual work is simple. It doesn't
involve difficult concepts. You don't need to understand
complicated principles. However, just because it is
simple doesn't mean it is easy. It is the most difficult
work you will ever do in your life. But it ultimately
brings fulfillment beyond what you can imagine.
In the
next increment I will be giving you the first of three
powerful keys you can use on your spiritual journey.
Love and
Light,
Kris

Feng Shui- A Series on Feng Shui for Beginners
An Introduction
to Feng Shui:
They say that cleanliness is next to godliness,
and perhaps they say this with good reason! A clean home
is naturally brighter, more inviting and more stimulating
to be in.
This we knew, but did we know that this
is one of the first principals in the ancient Chinese art
of Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is the art of being in harmony with
our surroundings.
Somewhat intuitive, we all have experienced
being more comfortable in a harmonious environment, but
have we been aware of this and do we know how to create
auspicious surroundings?
In this Feng Shui series we will take a look
at some basic Feng Shui techniques to help us transform
our living spaces, making them more pleasant, inviting and
prosperous. Auspicious Feng Shui is attributed with improving
health, wealth, careers, reputations, marriages, families
and the self. Poor Feng Shui is said to cause problems in
any of these categories, even to the point of causing divorce.
A
Feng Shui Experience:
Does Feng Shui really work? Have fun testing
it for yourself, but Chinese people swear by it. For example,
in China a building that is planned and constructed without
the advice of a Feng Shui master won't be able to attract
many workers. An office that is remodeled without expert
advice leads to poor employee morale. A good friend living
in Hong Kong says that his office was Feng Shuied and the
master informed them that the offices on the other side
of his building held poor Feng Shui. The master predicted
difficulties with the employees, affairs and challenges
with the work. On the other hand, my friend’s side of the
office was said to have auspicious Feng Shui. My friend
reported that the other side of the office had a lot of
turn over in the employees, that the boss and his secretary
were eventually fired for having an affair and that his
side of the office did very well. Can we attribute difficulties
and successes to Feng Shui? The Chinese do and, as we become
more and more familiar with Feng Shui, many of us find that
it is beneficial in creating warm and inviting environments
at the very least.
Whether beneficial or influential, a harmonious
environment is more comfortable to be in and trying to attract
prosperity, health and longevity is always a good thing!
The simplest technique which we can employ is to keep a
clean space. When our homes are clean, clutter-free and
organized we allow energy to flow instead of becoming stuck
in dirt, dust and clutter.
Feng
Shui- Cleaning House:
Simply dusting a room or organizing a desk will help to
create stronger health, creativity and strength to its inhabitants.
The cleaner area allows more life-giving chi to flow in,
helping us to feel, think and do our best.
Have you tried dusting or cleaning your bedroom,
your altar or your kitchen? Choose a room and see what changes
you notice within your week. Let us know what improvements
you find or what other tips you have, we'd love to hear
from you and perhaps even share your tips and/or comments
with our readers!
